These terms govern the use of GeoGames. By using the site, you accept what is described below.
Use of the service
GeoGames is a free online multiplayer geography game. It is offered as is, and the service may evolve with new cities, modes and improvements. There may be maintenance work or occasional interruptions.
No registration or account is required to play. You only need a modern browser and an internet connection.
Rooms and players
Rooms are temporary and are deleted automatically after a period of inactivity. The name you choose is visible to the other players in your room; we recommend using a nickname and not sharing personal data in the chat.
The room's creator manages the game settings and can restart the game or remove inactive players.
Third-party services
GeoGames uses Google Maps Platform (Maps and Street View) to display maps and panoramas. The use of those maps and panoramas is also subject to Google's terms. Some locations, panoramas or routes may be unavailable or change without notice.
Advertising
To help cover the cost of the map APIs, GeoGames may show non-intrusive advertising. There are no pop-ups, redirects or full-screen ads that prevent you from playing. You can review the use of cookies on the privacy and cookies pages.
Liability
GeoGames is offered without guarantees of continuous availability. The game depends on external services such as Google Maps Platform, and we are not responsible for interruptions, errors or loss of game data arising from those services or from the user's connection.
Acceptable use
Do not use the platform to abuse other users, send offensive content in the chat, automate traffic, overload the service or attempt to bypass technical or security limits. We reserve the right to limit access in the event of misuse.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or in the applicable rules. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
